Where the hell is Steve Lehto when you need him?! I’m sure he’d recommend a Ford Explorer.

Wear long-sleeve shirts and jeans at all times. That’ll help.
I’m starting to wonder if the cars couldn’t just be retrofitted with gas engines? Couldn’t they unmarry the engine/subframe as a whole and dump in a 1.8, 2.5 or 3.6 gasser engine, update the software and gauge cluster and resell?
And then everyone will drive in that lane!
Wonder why BMW doesn’t build a new plant in the US?
Sounds like my experience replacing a thrust arm on a E90.
I absolutely hate doubles (and triples on the toll road) - so many accidents in slick weather!
Shawn (may he rest in peace) may had his slip but it was an anomaly. Take note: there are over 100,000 of these out in the field. A handful having the issue is not much of a failure rate. I have just shy of 50k on mine - if this is an issue, I’ll be in the danger zone next year and we’ll see if issues crop up.
If she’s intrigued by the Tesla, she should drive one. If she likes it, she can pick up a CPO one for around 60k. Friend of ours just picked one up off-lease for 59k.
Do you own one? I’ve been in for only one issue - a seal leak. Other than that, my EcoDiesel has been great. It’s the rest of the truck that isn’t so great.
This. And this is what I’m somewhat afraid of (current EcoDiesel owner). Unless I get paid as handsomely as the VW owners are.
2nd Gear: More Indictments May Be Coming, Too
“Pricing and trim details on the car won’t come until next month, but don’t expect a paid trip to Sweden to come cheaply.”
Every vehicles has different incentives! Also, 2015 for 25-30% off? I’d expect that of a “leftover”.
On the other hand, we’ve always had decent luck purchasing at the end of the year - you just have to shop other dealers within the same marque to find out who is short of sales and may not make their numbers.
I can’t be the only one that noticed that about 50% of the vehicles involved were Toyotas...
And rattles them apart with dirt roads...
Eh, I’d tow it. That is, as long as I wasn’t straining the engine in the mountains. The V6 has the same axles as the V8 (trim-to-trim, that is).
IIRC, the difference in towing between the Pentastar and the HEMI was only 1,000lbs. 6200 vs 7200. 6200 still lets you tow a decent track car.
