    Neutral: Luxury Mazda

Not in the lower mainland ... I know that chunk of road - if you’re doing north of 110 km/h, you are a danger to everybody else - even at the quieter hours of late night, it’s busy.

Wait ... you mean someone actually bought one of those things to drive?!

Random crap is fine - major mechanical failures, not so much. I’m surprised to see so many Subaru complaints (not that I follow the make very closely) about such fundamental issues. I knew some WRX owners had problems with premature ring wear, but I assumed that had more to do with the tuning of the engine on a

So, an 11 year old car had a catastrophic failure? Not great, by any means, but at that point, does the car owe you anything?

Wow ... just thinking about the amount of capital that is currently tied up - Boeing’s interest charges on financing are going to get brutal.

NP ... if (relatively) current model Ferraris are your jam ... and you know what you’re getting into maintenance wise.

3rd and 4th Gen Accords were excellent cars - good looking, reliable. The 3rd Gen Coupe was a particular favourite of mine, although only a handful were ever sold.

It’s a nice specimen, and if you are in the market for such a car, it would no doubt “fill the bill”. It’s over 20 years old, and it’s a German car - I anticipate an ongoing stream of repairs in any older car, and as much I love the fit and finish in German designs, they have an annoying tendency to be expensive to

If by “value”, you mean “most depreciation”.

What’s really sad to me is that for me, the Cruze is still stained by the history of the Chevette. Every time I see an economy car out of GM, I keep thinking about how utterly awful the Chevette was.

By now that last Celebrity is a cube somewhere awaiting being turned into a seacan or other use for recycled metal ...

Well ... to its credit, it’s not as godawful looking as the Nissan Armageddon ... er ... Armada ...

I remember first hearing about this thing in the mid-late 80s when a grainy spy satellite photo of it emerged in the news. It would be another decade before more details became public knowledge.

I’m fairly certain that 95% of the people attending this would understand the Celica Supra as the ancestor to the Supra ... I really think Toyota continues to misread their market in this regard.

I always liked the idea of the Viper as a serious competitor to the Corvette for similar dollars. Outward appearances, they designed the car nicely, and it looks good. To all reports, it’s a blast to drive.

    Wrong on so many levels.

I got the irony, but even a beat up 308 deserves better treatment than that!

If you’re going to do a “transplant” project on one of these, at least put something in that will do justice to the car...  The Iron Duke was a godawful POS even in the Chevette.

Okay - it’s a 40 year old exotic, going for half the price its peers probably would go for.
