I think that early Leons had some manufacturing / assembly / configuration errors which gave negative reviews regarding the lights. Mine are fine and they look great.

I have a hatchpack Leon FR 1.4 TFSI and this is pretty much I feel about mine. Several minor flaws but decent cost/quality ratio. More fun to drive than equal A3.
