Is there a reason we're using 9/11 as a completely unrelated unit of measurement that "more than 3,000" wouldn't suffice?

I've been waiting for this to happen my whole life.

The timing of the announcements (Friday evening, in the middle of the NCAA tourney), and their quick succession, make you wonder if the Jets want one or both of them to be overlooked.

There was a Devils/Flyers game way back, before the season-long lockout, that went to OT and ended with a flurry of 3-on-3 action. One of the best games I've ever seen in any sport. And it ended in a tie, which was the proper result for the two teams on the day.
