Unless you have one of the rare Durango hybrids from last generation, it’s not the same. The old start/stop system in FCA products is fairly intrusive and clunky. This one is supposed to feel seamless. It’s not the starter motor turning over the engine in this case.

Its not like that, which is the point. The electric engine accelerates the car instantly while simultaneously starting the engine. The old start stop systems were awful because they had to actually had to start the car to move.
