Then the solution shouldn’t be to have them be so close in meta. Let there be Casual modes, which would basically be everything as-is. Then in the ranked and competitive e-sports scene, have dedicated play lists that have different items and rule sets so a singular feel can be established and cultivated.

I don’t have any Souls games, but I snagged Bloodborne when it was on PS+ and it’s downloaded to my system. I’ll build up the courage and try it at some point before I get a PS5. I’ve committed myself to that.

This game has been an utter dumpster fire. They tricked me with all the pre-release BS of “we learned so much from the first game,” which apparently translated to, “we figured out how to completely break multiple intrinsic gameplay systems so as to make them a fucking CHORE.”

Not according to agreed upon safety certifications.
