Unless I’m missing the 2013+ 300€ C3 windscreen in the link you sent, you’re only further supporting my point. The Model X windscreen comes from AGP in Peru, who invested heavily to be able to mold it. Elon has said they called it the most complex windscreen they ever made.

Cute but does not support your position. The windscreen on that Citroen is nearly FIVE TIMES as expensive as a standard C3.

The fake shows the gigantic windshield and falcon wing door handles, two things that they could never afford for the 3.

VW of Freehold (NJ) closed up about a month ago. They were owned by Group 1 out of Ft Worth TX. Group 1 still have 4 VW dealerships in the US.

No, it’s the motor. An aggressively driven Model S reduces power in less than a lap at a track like Laguna Seca. IIRC, there was speculation that there isn’t actually a temperature sensor but that the power reduction was based on an algorithm. (ie: “X amount of power for Y time and power is reduced”)

Ah, but they’re not actually “on the road”, right? Drop the ones that need long term care from insurance.

The risk is banging the rotor with the wheel when removing/installing. Nothing to do with using an impact gun.

Just playing devil’s advocate, is it possible for the chain to jump a tooth after the guides fail? Or for the timing to shift just enough to get a valve?

Sure could have used this guy a few weeks ago when some clown was trying to back down a driveway next to a building from the street. Took him - no exaggeration - at least 20 back and forth adjustments while he held up traffic in both directions.

My brother in law had an ‘88 with a big turbo, big intercooler, and ported heads. 400rwp. Shot flames on the overrun. He sold it a few years ago for mid-30s with the 6th sense of market timing that he seems to uniquely possess. :)

I can recall an early magazine test of the GLH. Paraphrasing: “You better have the wheel pointed exactly where you want to go and keep it there”.

Anywho, there is in fact a next generation Leaf, touting an upgraded range claimed to be 26 percent improved over the previous generation for a total of around 155 miles.

That’s basically it. Consider that a 1986 Mustang LX V8 had 200hp and went 0-60 in 6.2 (Car&Driver source). This car had 175hp and got to 60 in 6.5 (Car&Driver again). The Mustang was 2mph faster.

That’s not universally true. The ZF 9HP has a ratio spread of 9.81:1. The 6 speed in a Dart (chosen randomly) is 6.27:1. or 6:68:1 depending on the engine.

You got the woodgrain? Snob.

My dad had a ‘79. It was pretty awful.

That, and non-locking torque converters.

“subprime” is not rigidly defined. I find it hard to believe the majority of MB/Audi/BMW buyers have 600 FICOs. It seems more likely that they reserve the best rates for 800+ FICOs (or similarly high) and anything else is “subprime” in their eyes.

This. My friends and I went to the 1st USGP at Indy (yes, I know - V10s). Completely last minute, we drove from the DC area, had to stay 100 miles from the track. As we walked up to the stadium and heard the cars for the first time I said “that was worth the whole trip”.

Not for me. On a street driven car, sound makes a big difference. I can enjoy sound all the time. Awesome handling and acceleration are great for about 5% of the time, unused the other 95%. A proper exhaust on a V8 Ferrari makes traffic jams tolerable.
