R and Alltrack owner here. R is mine, Alltrack is my wife’s DD/family hauler. If they did make an R wagon, I totally would have gotten that as the family hauler and instead made a move into hybrids and checked out the A3 eTron (I had a 2006 A3 and loved it) as my commuter car.

hah! I dodged the bullet on my MK4! Never had any window problems. Only issues I had with my 2000 jetta was failed water pump (<5k) and coilpacks (VR6)
