The thing is a lot of people really enjoy watching safe play too. As a Pokken player (who is very active in the community) I love watching good safe play, and a lot of other people in the community do as well. I don’t main a zoner, but I love watching Twixxie play, personally.

You can’t make it in a remotely competitive environment by just“spamming the same move over and over”, everything has counter-play and if it doesn’t it gets banned. Writing off projectile based characters as “projectile spammers” is equally as stupid as writing off a rushdown character as “punching/kicking spammers”.
