Am I crazy, or is the walk suggestion in the first tip insanely long? From Castro and Market to Land’s End? Even if you were to just walk w/out stopping anywhere, that would take all day.

After living here 15 years, I’d say a lot of the best stuff about SF is what SF is *near*. You’re close to the biggest trees in the world (redwoods, not just the crowded Muir woods, but also Samuel P Taylor park), the foggiest spot in North America (Pt Reyes), largest seabird colony in the contiguous 48 (Farallon…
You should do the math instead of listen to our advice.
#6, that 15yr is better than 30 yr, is dead, dead wrong. I hope people ignore that.
Get the 30 year and feel good about it.
As a home owner, I would side with your idea of doing a 30 year loan and making larger payments for the reasons you mentioned.
It does not appear that Apple TV will solve all your problems as you've listed Amazon Prime Video as one of your goto options…which Apple seems not to have included at this time.
Poor font choice — on my monitor, the lower case “e” looks very much like the lower case “c”, and the capital “A” doesn’t have a cross-bar. Readability is much worse than it was before.

I’m not a CPA but a financial planner, but the taxation on the annuity is similar to that of your 401k. The benefit over a regular brokerage account is that the annual dividends and interest generated in the brokerage fund is taxed annually, and so you lose out on those funds and the compounding you would have on them…
You probably know saving for retirement is a big deal. If you like the idea of eventually being able to enjoy life…
Game score is a really dumb way to gauge things, though. A perfect game with no strikeouts is worth the same as a 3 hitter with 6 Ks. Please tell me how those two games would be equivalent, practically nobody would say they are.
I’m glad to read this. :) Helps me worry a little less about my looks (not that I’m hideous, but you know).
Amen...hot people are there when you want them. Kind people are there when you didn't know you needed them.
Totally. I’ve said that to my fiance. That I have no doubt of his “goodness.” I wouldn’t have said that my exes weren’t “good” people, and it’s not like my fiance is perfect, but there’s no question that his heart and intentions are in the right place. I’m not sure I could have said that of all my past loves.
Mine would be to find a partner that is genuinely kind.
$1,500 x 2 a month = $3K. $3K x 6 months a year playing = $18K.
Some do; some don’t. Plenty of scams rely on people’s pity, sympathy, or guilt. In college I fell for a magazine scam because the woman scamming me made me feel really bad for her and I bought it. But yeah, lots of scams do target our desire to get something for nothing, too.
Well thanks for making a post about helping others from your own bad experiences into a pedestal for your high-morality. I bet you’re a cool person to be around. My friend has a drug intervention in a few days, perhaps you can let him know how greedy he is to allow his life to be that way.
Greed? A lot of what people do is motivated by greed but I think in the case of scams its usually FEAR that is what the scammers are feeding on.
