Hell, you can get the best of both worlds if you look in the right place. I’m a “blue collar” worker (TIG welder), but I basically work in an office. I have a really nice desk with a comfy office chair. There’s never-ending free coffee in the break room along with a legit kitchen. It’s beautifully climate-controlled

Thinner air is absolutely less effective at carrying thermal energy away from heat exchangers, drastically so. It’s one of the biggest problems that faces Pikes Peak racers. The thin mountain air’s inability to carry heat is actually a much bigger problem than its tendency to reduce engine power. Forced induction can

Core i7-920 ran on socket LGA 1366 on the X58 motherboard chipset. Broadly similar to server architecture of the day, many Xeon chips from that era will drop right in.

“Go play on PC and create whatever you want and see if you enjoy the game beyond a week.”

“They already have the zoom in feature which allows you to highlight all the different parts that make up the gun or piece of gear ... Why not just expand off of that? I mean your already half way there.”

“If I can make my ideal rifle then why would I ever care about what drops?”

Man, this game was such a missed opportunity. Gearbox could have done so much cool shit if they had opened up the code to build a crafting element into the random gun system already in place. Make it possible to break guns down into their component parts. Perhaps to keep the difficulty up only make it possible to save

“[Ocarina of Time] isn’t just a fun fishing mini-game. It’s the fishing mini-game.”

Read it again. They designed a mechanism at that start of the level that will shunt single-player parties into an alternate area of the level that is possible to complete solo. If two players enter the level they are forced into the more difficult area that requires co-op play to complete.

It needs Mazda’s new straight 6!

“Bobby Unser is a maniac.”

Ditto. I think the F13 M6 has that same sleek GT car profile and low roofline, but with cleaner, less fussy styling.

Seconded! For well less than half the price you could get a very lightly used F13 M6. Same 4.4 liter turbo V8 engine, pure rear wheel drive, and most crucially the option of a 6-speed manual trans if you’re in the USA. If you spend some of the money you saved on bolt-on tuning you can have 700+ hp!

If it were a body-on-frame vehicle I’m sure that would be true, but there is literally zero additional clearance in the front wheel well. Even one size up and you start to rub when applying full steering lock. It might be possible if you reduced the offset by 30mm or so, but then the tires would poke out from under

It’s for drag car function. DOT drag slicks like Nitto 555R or Mickey Thompsons come in sizing that favors smaller wheels. A taller sidewall means the tire can flatten itself out more on launch, creating a greatly enlarged contact patch for more traction on the hole-shot.

Just did a cool little tire fitment on a Honda Ridgeline my dad bought recently. Came from the factory with 18 inch wheels. That gave it an odd tire size, 245/60R18 which noooobody makes a good tire for.

Talked my old man into going down to a 17 inch wheel, which he didn’t want to do, but it opened up a whole world of
