Yea, it’s pretty great as the years go by though. It may be annoying now, but in a few years you get the catharsis of watching those same moms make up endless excuses for why their kids are such a bunch of fuck-ups.

“Throughout most of history and throughout most of the world today young children sleep with their parents.”
Yea, this is my big sticking point on the whole co-sleeping deal. When does it end? How do you transition out? And what do you do about your kid being so used to co-sleeping? Who do they sleep with when they’re too old to sleep with you, but far too young to be sleeping with a romantic partner?
.
From that era, and unless it is basically free, then yea. This proves out in the bluebook values. My own 2001 Jetta VR6 is worth basically nothing, like $1700, as compared to compact Hondas and Toyotas of the same vintage that still command $3500+ on the second-hand market.
+1
It’s powered by a Volkswagen engine. Probably a 1.8 turbo. The little spherical coolant expansion tank gives it away:
I mean, by being up-front about it, doesn’t he identify the market for the opportunistic scrapper who would buy it for parts, like you say? Parting out any vehicle is not a simple task, and some random guy who bought the thing pre-built may not be equipped to tear it down. That’s a big time commitment that requires…
Yea, but the turbine on a Bell 206 helicopter puts out more than a thousand foot-pounds of torque. Those little jets on the hoverboard may be 250 horsepower each, but they put out maybe 40 foot-pounds of torque.
I don’t know, I’d say shit like this makes the strongest case for legalization. A legal grow operation is covered in surveillance cameras and has regular security check-ins from the local police force. More than that, legalization takes the economic wind out of crazy, black-market narco sails which is what causes…
“The drug-underworld of Ohio is something you don’t want to fuck around with.”
/that being said my first instinct when I hear “scorched earth” is “car-tel”
God, I am so hoping that Matt LeBlanc, Chris Harris, and Sabine Schmitz run away with the show. They’re all funny, engaging presenters in their own right and would be an amazing combo together. You’ve got Sabine’s dry German sarcasm, Chris’s chuffing British hooliganry, and Matt’s cool American swagger. I can only…
I’m quite sure Mad Mike Whiddett and his quad-rotor, twin-turbo, twelve hundred horsepower Mazda Miata would have a look at this article and then tell you to kindly get stuffed, Mr. Hernandez:
The Tesla appears to have a bit of a front splitter integrated into the bodywork. Would that big flat front not provide a nice area for high pressure air to build up, thus causing that splitter to actually do something?
+1, there’s a lot of irony in Forgestar’s name as none of their products are actually produced via a real forging process. Their marketing wank goes on and on about “rotary forging”, but it’s all complete horse-shit. They make high-pressure castings just like every other middle-of-the-road wheel maker.
There’s a little bit of a rotary renaissance going on in the more oddball corners of motorsport. A lot of it is down to Dave Lemon down at Mazdatrix. He’s sorted out a lot of the weird, subtle stuff that goes into building a really reliable rotary engine.
Okay, but I don’t know of *any* federal agency that actually inspects, registers, or otherwise has anything to do with the lawful operation of private automobiles. The Federal Government’s, and especially the EPA’s, real-world influence on cars pretty much ends at setting CAFE standards and other large-scale…
Those Z/28s are no joke, real giant-slayers they are. Then again, if you put a 305 section track-day tire on all four corners of just about any performance car you’ll generate some impressive cornering grip.
Depends on the state. Honestly, California is the only place where it’s an issue. You need the engine in your swap to be CARB-certified, which pretty much limits you to GM crate engines.
