Deadspin rails on people all the time for being racist, but they hate the entire Midwest. Fuck this website.

Because he's not getting less effective, he's just all of a sudden ineffective. There wasn't a gradual decline and they had the 3rd ranked offense last year by at least some measure.s That's unusual.

Without the weight of law behind it, this investigation is little more than an expensive PR stunt. What would compel someone to cooperate, or prevent someone from covering their tracks or just plain lying? Go ahead and fire me, The NFL still looks good on my resume, and legally you can't tell future prospective

Only a tiny bit suspicious that the announcement came from the guy whose career hangs in the balance...

This all reads to me as:

Hmmm...Mara, Rooney...

I'll take, "The Two Owners Most Likely To Carry Roger Goodell and the NFL Shield's Water" for $1000 please, Samer.

"Mara and Rooney are both attorneys.*"

*Attorneys who haven't actively practiced law in a long, long time and have inherited a massive fortune in the form that in large parts amounts to 1/32nd of the entity they are investigating the leader of.

Neutral NFL games actually do better in New England than elsewhere, we tend not to give a shit about sports like college football or NASCAR. The NFL is far and away the most popular televised sport in New England. Doesn't mean the fans are knowledgeable, but they do watch.

Stop saying we. I watch college football. I understand that Tom Brady is really good at what he does. You don't represent every football fan in the northeast.

They were busted week 1 of the 2007 season. They went on to win 17 more games that season alone. They have been to 4 AFC championship games and 2 Super Bowls since being busted for recording their opponents. They've won plenty of things since then, just not any Super Bowls. There are 25 other teams that have not won

It stuns me that anyone could still attempt to argue that Bledsoe was better then Brady.

This whole "Pats fans think Bledsoe was better than Brady is" thing is news to me, and my day is seriously worse because of it because I cannot comprehend how you could even begin to think so highly of Bledsoe, he of the 4-3 career playoff record and 1.2 career TD to INT ratio.

Seriously though, how many times out of 100 does the helmet catch actually succeed on that play? 1?

As someone who still has the bedsores on his ass from sitting on the concrete at Foxboro stadium when season tickets were readily available because Hugh Millen was 1-15 or some shit, everyone can go fuck themselves.

Anyone who's not fully sold on Brady by now can go root for the Browns for some goddamn perspective.

Does anyone really care about this?

Coincidental minors. Perry 2:00 for diving; Nantucket Sound 2:00 for holding

Kershaw might steal this title at some point but Pedro was the best I ever saw.

I'm partial another one-hitter, also from '99. 17 strikeouts in Yankee Stadium, one hit (a Chili Davis homer), no walks, one HBP. Eight of the last nine outs were strikeouts, and seven of those were swinging.
