Did you see The Secret Window with Johnny Depp? It is based on Stephen King’s Secret Window, Secret Garden (haven’t read). That’s pretty much the plot in the movie. But he’s (sort of) researching another mystery novel that he deosn’t realize he already wrote because he’s gone completely mad.
