Yeah, firing an employee for this seems a bit extreme. If the CEO did this, I could see the company running scared but no one really expects them to police every single worker. If asked, they could gave said they reprimanded her (whether that was true or not) and let it drop.

I’m gonna still have sympathy for the kids in the foster system and homelss shelters, especially around the holidays. You can absolutely pet children, if you have their and their parent’s permission. Toddlers are pretty darn cuddley.
