Yes, well said. And as long as you watch or read with a critical eye, you can learn just as much from what is wrong with something as you can from what is right with it. More, even.

I will. I agree with much of this article, but I don’t need art I consume to be completely unproblematic.
The idea that Moss is typecast as weak characters is weird to me - I really don’t know what you mean. You can’t possibly think that June in A Handmaid’s Tale is weak can you? I’m sure you could have gladly gone throughout your day today without anyone referring to your children as rats. You have shown remarkable restraint in my opinion.
I often find myself caring what Brigitte Bardot thinks about things, and I’m not at all surprised that she’s still alive.
I moderated comments on the NYT until a few months ago, largely on the Op-Ed pages. And oh boy have I dodged a bullet! Seriously, best of luck to everyone involved.
So you reckon Cameron not only turned a blind eye but actively sought to cover it up? I’m not saying you’re wrong necessarily, but that’s further than I’ve seen anyone else go with this.
What the fuck, man?
Eh?
I don’t know, but this quote has always stayed with me:
Er... no. According to 2011 census data 53% of Birmingham residents are white British, 26% Asian or Asian British, 9% Black or Black British and 2% white Irish.
