Yeah, each season was diminishing returns for me too, but it still had its moments and it still had Kathryn Hahn. The last season had neither.

Yes, well put. At best this stuff is dross that kids are being cheated into choosing over better content, and at worst it is actively harmful. I hope suspending this channel is just the start of a serious attempt to remove this stuff.
I did find Maura’s story compelling to be fair. I thought it was a strength of the show that it made me sympathise with Maura and admire her bravery even though I didn’t much like her as a person. Not an easy thing to pull off.
Out of the toilet? Jesus. I’m glad I didn’t stick around long enough to see that. I hope those girls are okay.
Like the Littlest Hobo. He was a scientist of sorts.
She is now.
It did for me personally, in that by the end I no longer cared what happened to any of the characters.
I found Maura to be equally unpleasant as her children, even more so at times. I do like your idea though.
If anyone is the lead in Arrested Development, it’s Jason Bateman not Jeffrey Tambor. Have you even seen the show?
You could join everyone else in the world in assuming that it’s simply a joke.
That’s an odd characterisation of what’s happening here. People have flagged some children’s content on a platform as being unsuitable for children. The owners of the platform have looked at the content, agreed with the complaints, and thus removed the content. How is this a bad thing?
Some of the animated stuff seems to be at least partly auto-generated by algorithms. Still ultimately made by humans of course, but not as directly.
I think you’re confused. Nobody is saying that algorithms should be protecting anyone. What we’re saying is that people who exploit algorithms to put unsuitable content in front of children should be prevented from doing so.
I do think it is the parents’ job to monitor what their children are watching. I also think people shouldn’t be allowed to get rich off posting content aimed at children that is inappropriate. Can’t both things be true?
It’s worth pointing out that Toy Freaks wasn’t as popular as it appeared to be. If over 600 millions views for a no-budget video that was just some people mucking about in a house wasn’t unbelievable enough (ten times as many as PewDiePie’s most-viewed video), you only had to look at the comments. The vast majority…
You are one of the most vicious people I’ve ever seen online. I hope for the sake of the people around you that you are not like this in real life.
Maybe you do, for me it’s a living hell.
Hey, it’s not easy for these guys to not molest anyone but they’re getting through it, one day at a time.
Well, it’s obviously harmful, no one is disputing that.
That undoubtedly true in many cases, but difficult to apply to, say, Floyd Mayweather or Mike Tyson.
