I thought I hated the invisibility. Now that I’m losing weight I want it back. I’d rather be invisible (and healthy and fit) than feel like I do now: which is like an object and a toy.

(Most) men are so easily offended by the mere sight of a pad or tampon, it’s ridiculous. Where else should you have put them? In you purse? They only like to acknowledge vaginas when it’s convenient for them, so when they’re horny. But I can understand your reaction, I used to be like that until a couple of years ago

If he’s not mature enough to handle his roommate talking about his sex life, then he’s not mature enough for sex.

That’s when you stuff his pillowcase with them.

And Michael, too. My college boyfriend reprimanded me for putting pantyliner wrappers in the garbage in his bathroom because his roommate would tease him for it. I was so humiliated. I didn’t occur to me then to be pissed at him and his stupid roommate. I feel sad for my younger self, and I’ll never stop being pissed

Fuck Tom and all the Toms of the world.

In 2001, when I was about 14 years old, my male friends invented a game that went like this: one of them—and it was

Apparently there’s a statuatory charge you have to pay for the recount but the actual cost would be markedly higher depending on how tings turn out.

Frankly, the recount was a good idea just to expose irregularities in voting. There were about 85,000 ballots cast with NO presidential choice recorded. That’s simply

Personally, I think conducting a hand recount should be automatic in every state and for every election

They should use his “rigged election” tweets in court to force a recount. I don’t think it will change anything, but it will piss him off, and I am down for anything that pisses him off.

In light of what they’re finding in Wisconsin it would serve the public interest better to allow the recount go through, and make sure every vote is counted and the count is accurate, than to not allow them. Or wait, and hem and haw with lawsuits. Because how much do you want to bet that if a vote audit of this

Because people are distracted, feel helpless, are too busy trying to get their piece of the elusive American Dream, too poor or simply have given up. This is exactly what politicians want. A nation of people scattered, hopeless and dejected. The whole notion of power to the people now just makes most idiots scream

I don’t want my state to spend millions on passing a new unconstitutional law to restrict abortion access every year. But they do it every year. And it gets overturned every year. Court costs are just the price of doing business in a constitutional democracy.

Could not have put it better. Thank you. We have been royally screwed because few people bother to become informed, and so fucking many are happy to swallow bullshit because they think it will somehow benefit them - as if they will ever be wealthy enough.

Keep in mind that this isn’t really a “recount,” it’s actually a “count.” This is how the votes would have been tallied had the state not chosen to cut budget corners by implementing voting machines. The whole condition of setting up voting machines was supposedly “don’t worry about it, we can always check the paper

Given that Gov. Snyder spent $3 million in taxpayer funds defending himself from Flint water crisis lawsuits, as a Michigan taxpayer I really don’t want to hear any whining from Republicans about how much it’s going to cost. A cost, by the way, which they have been grossly inflating, probably by including the costs of

It’s horrifying that these people are declaring openly that it would be undemocratic to actually count our votes. This is where it becomes apparent that democratic elections are a negotiable element of the right’s plans for our country.

One of the most insane things about this? Trump screamed about a rigged system, lost the popular vote by nearly 3M, and the right-wingers are saying “everything is fine, recounts are dumb.” If the situation was reversed, you bet your sweet ass they would be threatening armed rebellion if there wasn’t a recount going

Don’t care.

Jill Stein has raised over 7.5 million dollars in private donations for the recounts. Most of the costs are coming out of that fund. It’s only “taxpayer money” in the sense that the people who voluntarily donated it are probably also taxpayers.
