You said what I was going to! d_michel's argument assumes that all women *want* to have kids and only choose to abort, outside cases of rape, because of economic barriers. Uh, no. I have a loving, supportive, well-off soon-to-be husband and could easily become a stay-at-home mom or afford good day care if I wanted.

As long as contraception and sterilizations (that leave sexual function intact) are less than 100% effective, and these women have penises inserted into their vaginas, there will be women of all races, colors, creeds, economic ranges, married and unmarried, partnered and unpartnered who find themselves pregnant

There's a difference between being pro-life and being personally pro-life. It's clarified in the article. You can be against having an abortion yourself but still believe women have a right to make their own reproductive choices, and that is called pro-choice.

How can they be equal when the woman's bodily autonomy is denied, one of the most basic rights.

You're forgetting the biggest reason of unwanted pregnancy: the OOPS baby.

if you don't want it legislated, you are pro-choice. don't be scared of an accurate term just because misogynistic fuckheads have conned people into believing choice means abortion.
