Sticking strictly to games that released in the last 2-3 years since PC is crazy with no generations. I would pick. Witcher 3, XCOM 2, Path of Exile, Fallout 4, Total War Hammer, Doom (2016), Overwatch, Hearthstone, Pillars of Eternity, Stellaris, Grim Dawn, Far Cry 4 and Wolfenstein New Order. This game is insane. has the cool old school feel with key cards, colored doors, power ups, awesome level design while also offering new stuff like kill moves, upgrades, collectibles, and challenges.

The base alienware alpha can be bought from $350-$400 on many websites and with a simple 4gb ram upgrade for $20-$25 it can hang with the PS4 and XBO. hell in certain games it even bests the PS4 (actually most).
