Also this keeps defying my expectations as to quality. It’s getting really hard to keep the bar low. 

Byond was the only of the three Kelvin Trek’s that felt like it was scripted by someone who both understood and, more importantly, actually liked Star Trek. I’m not convinced either Kurtzman or Abrams like the damn franchise.

Is anyone actually excited about a Kelvin timeline movie at this point? I thought Beyond was fine, and I liked certain things about the other two, but those movies feel like this sort of weird offshoot of the franchise than anything you could build a future on.

As the one person on the planet who liked Star Trek Beyond, even I’m wondering how necessary this really is given the seventy-three Star Trek shows in active production on Paramount+.

It’s because out of of 7 films with the word “Superman” in the title, the only villains we ever got from the comics is Lex Luthor and Zod. Rinse, repeat. Even the version of “Doomsday” is actually tied to both Zod and Lex, unlike the comics.

Also, the fact that these “fans” think that you can sell the “Snyderverse” to Netflix is utterly fucking stupid. They don’t know how IP works at all.

Zack Snyder is, by all accounts, a really nice guy who really maintains great working relationships with a ton of people he has worked with over the years.

I haven’t played the game, so this seemed like a tremendously complicated level.
