I’m pretty sure Halo drove away its fan base from reach onward by:removing viewable rank, adding bloom on precision weapons in reach, adding armor abilities, adding sprint which promoted running away amd stretched out maps, and then from 4 onward insisting on abilities or other changes to tge basic formula.
