That's exactly who the backlash is against. I don't know how big the contingent is- I'm avoiding Tumblr and Twitter because I can't deal with the rage and I love Javi as a writer and showrunner and I don't like seeing people sending him death threats

Ooof, that was a BRUTAL episode. The A.I. twist took me completely by surprise- I would never have guessed that in a MILLION years.

Kilgrave is the Time Lord Victorious. His charm, his weird whimsy, his darkness are all very Ten. What an ingenious acting/scripting/casting choice. It elevates Kilgrave beyond what he was in the comics (which was bad enough) to the MCU's most interesting villain yet.

The costume! Jewel! The Alias references were strong in this episode.

I am ALWAYS happy when an episode has a Sam/Shitstain/HoneyNutz storyline. Especially when there's a Marc Evan Jackson cameo involved. Although how anyone gets an 800 on their SATs, I don't even know…

SO GLAD this week's the memory palace made the list. I love every episode, and I'm going to be ridiculously sad when the summer season ends, but this one was particularly brilliant and beautifully written.

Even if the series wasn't as fantastic as it is, it would have all been worth watching for the final scene with Janeane Garofalo and Jon Hamm. Comedic perfection.

Nothing about this show has ever been truer than the aggressive badness of that college improv group.

Of all the fandoms to piss off, they choose the one that LITERALLY has recipes for how to cook and eat people.

That makes a lot of sense- he probably knows enough to play the simpler pieces, but for the more complex ones, they probably needed a more flawless take than he might necessarily be able to produce if he's learning the piece just for the show.

I think so- his Wikipedia article just says he's a blues and folk musician, but I would be very surprised if that wasn't him playing the piano.

Apparently the guy who plays Riley's father, KK, is a famous Icelandic musician. I started enjoying Riley's story so much more once she got to Iceland, and her relationship with her father is a HUGE part of that.

This week's 99% was absolutely fantastic, and not just because "Hannibal" is my favorite show. But I'm pretty sure that bullroarer sound cue was for the Wendigo and not the Dire Ravenstag (god, the names for things on that show are weird).

I will be 100% okay if every episode this season has Abbi dancing in it. Between her happy dance in the hallway and the "Edge of Glory" scene from last week, this has already been a glorious year for Abbi gifs.

Gina's speech absolutely had me in tears last night. Representation is so damn important and one of the things I use to sell this show is how the majority of this cast are people of color and are in no way stereotypical. We can see ourselves in them and that is so, so wonderful.

It's weird, because I actually like her, but I can understand why people argue that Cally is superfluous.

Totally agree. It's like they decided to try and lighten it up with a dinner farce and it completely failed because it's the fucking end of the world and that's not where the comedy is going to come from.

Major, major props for an accurate "first time" depiction. I've read my fair share of romance novels, and somehow even when it's the dudes who are virgins everyone lasts for damn ever and has a great time. Nice to see it being a little more true to how it would actually go.

I can't really hate on "Act of Contrition" too much because it's when I really sat up and took notice of Bear McCreary's music. The piece that plays while they're prepping the 1,000th landing celebration is celebratory enough that you don't notice it as being as ominous as it is until you re-watch and know what's

I would really like it if Phillip was one of the dead monkeys, but Aurora wasn't. Then she could be with her One True Love, Mulan, and they could raise the baby together.
