Both! Though the last Weatherbox album has been a particular favourite of mine lately. Manchester Orchestra meets Weezer with an added dose of… for want of a better word, theatrical style.

Eh, I think if anyone can say that sort of thing it's probably Kim Gordon in the 90s.
Never could get into Jawbox. Or Jawbreaker. I do like Weatherbox though.
Excellent. However, that particular Kim is ranked well below the rest of my lineup of favourite musical Kims, below Kims Shattuck (also my style idol tbh), Gordon, Deal, and Pine.
Have you read Girl In A Band? It's a fantastic read, very sad in places, but her resilience/creativity/general rad-ness through it all is really inspiring. Her perspective on what it was like to be a woman in both art and punk through the 80s and 90s when attitudes were maybe starting to change but were still way…
My favourite thing I've ever read about Billy Corgan is in Kim Gordon's autobiography. She writes about meeting Courtney Love, and Love won't stop talking about Corgan, who she's going out with at the time, and she says something like "I didn't really care, because the Smashing Pumpkins weren't punk, and Billy Corgan…
Yes! Glad someone else mentioned this.
Fall Of Troy did that sort of things recently, but they gave both versions away for free, then released instrumental versions of each version for free too. And the record was at least passable in every version! What a top bunch of lads.
Never heard of that AJJ record but that's actually a pretty great concept! Would love to give it a go.
I liked Fludd. I like pretty much everything Nintendo do. God I'm such a sucker for things that give me feelings again.
Seeing loads of negativity about price/function/games already from plenty of sites/commenters. I'm personally nothing but stoked.
Too soon?
I think Lando would have done just fine.
A real person in this situation won't be getting interviews, and his CV will be looked at for 30 seconds before getting tossed in the trash. Implying people in this situation are doing anything wrong is terrible.
So glad Pity Me, Durham is represented.
Pretty sure Semple's developed his own non-toxic version of Vantablack-like paint that he's not allowing Kapoor to use? Didn't I read that somewhere?
Absolutely agreed actually - Hello Sadness is their weakest record for a variety of reasons. I hated it when it first came out. Gareth scrapped most of the lyrics after his girlfriend dumped him just before he got on the plane to record it (documented in the actually really good b-side Tiptoe Through the True Bits),…
No love for Los Campesinos! - Sick Scenes? Can't get enough of Amarante, and the other songs they debuted live at the end of last year were great as well. I feel like this is going to be something of a back to their roots (or at least a back to We Are Beautiful, We Are Doomed) record, with less expansiveness or…
Torn between just commenting "why", pointing out that the song title lyrics stop after the first three songs because that's when everyone turns this record off, or something about how Bono wrote half of it "over there… and the other half… over there." That's also a truly atrocious support lineup, jeez.
Feeling really lucky to have just got tickets for her in Manchester later this year, very annoyed I didn't see her last time she was over in the UK. Sprained Ankle is perfect but just about the saddest thing not made by Grouper.
