AGREED. It's perfect and horribly underrated.

Didn't North flush his iPhone full of lyrics down the toilet? It's not his strongest lyrical effort. Or his strongest record full stop, by a long way. But it may be his easiest listen, and probably the most fascinating "cultural artefact" (blurgh) he's created. B+.

I was all like "oh no" and spilled tea everywhere.

Need to read the book! Really enjoy West's columns and would love to see this done.

S'how I like it.

Nearly 60 hours in, messing around breeding, harvesting berries, and training before the Elite Four. Loving every minute tbh.

I've got a lot of time for Childish Gambino despite a VERY shaky start and some really dodgy early records, but Because The Internet was great - it definitely showed he had the potential, and the skills to eventually pull it off. I'm looking forward to giving this a go.

Yeah I was just about to come back and post the same thing actually - the biggest difference of course is that we don't vote for the Prime Minister directly.

The difference is to the UK is, of course, that despite all those votes he got no representation in government. If your party got 19% of the vote in the UK you would usually have a hefty number of MPs - unless you got SERIOUSLY unlucky under our first-past-the-post system. That said, that's exactly what happened to

I'm less than three decades old and I'm already approaching that point, though I did do the whole "attempted music journalist" thing for a while so have really packed in more than most. New stuff does occasionally delight me, but I'm pickier now.

Well yes true your system of government is an absolute mess ngl.

Yeah, our parliament is very different to how things work in the US, mostly because you looked at how we did it when setting up your country and said "fuck no".

Everyone's relationship with music is totally personal, and if you click with something immediately it's not just rare but usually down to specific circumstances - it's the right record for the right time. I think this happens more when you're younger too - you've heard less music, everything sounds more exciting.

Yeah for all intents and purposes we are, but moreso than in the US we do have major "third" parties that get media attention, win MPs, MEPs and local positions, and are involved in debates and election coverage - which is guaranteed by law. Lib Dems, Green, Ukip and regional parties like SNP, Plaid Cymru etc. are

Every now and then, usually on a really hot day, a shit beer (or cider - Strongbow is forever a guilty pleasure) can really hit the spot over something hoppier, stronger, or over-flavoured. But nine times out of ten, they really are garbage - unless they're free.

That's interesting! I did not know that. 2000 is the first US election I remember, so to me it's always been that way. I also thought for a few years after that that America had less of a two-party system and was more like the UK because Nader was reported on in a sort similar way to how the Lib Dems had been in 1997,

One of those bands I'm sure I'd like but have never got around to - seems like a good excuse to finally give them a go.

Yeah, having Britain First posts on my Facebook feed has no value whatsoever. I don't want to be constantly exposed to racist opinions.

Very confusing for UK users, for whom blue represents the Tory party - interestingly, the same party that have just given the police powers to invade our browsing history as aggressively as this extension will invade your Facebook account.

Merzbow's used a variety of sounds across his 59,645 albums, it seems likely that there's a 'toot toot' in there somewhere, right?
