Whether or not he was “evil” is up for debate, but in my mind, the best story in the “Superman oversteps his bounds and messes up the world” subgenre is still the amazing Red Son.

That novel totally reminded me of a crazy, much less well known novel from Frank Herbert (DUNEs) titled “The Jesus Incedent”. DEFINITELY check that one out too!
The brain story is called The Life of the Mind, it’s part 1 of The End of All Things - a novel that was originally serialized as 4 novellas.
I haven’t read it in over a decade but the part where part of Tarzan’s scalp is torn off and flapping around still sticks with me.
I’ll probably watch this. I love Edgar Rice Burroughs’s fiction. Hell, I loved John Carter. It was a very entertaining movie. Disney just completely failed at marketing it.
It’s very underrated and gets better with additional viewings.
