So true - feed the kid first, bring crayons, bring a phone with games on it. A phone loaded with a game is great for times when a kid just isn't in the right mood to sit nicely. I have to say my own kid is great in restaurants but everyone has their moments.

Yes, before I had a child I used to think a lot 'GET A SITTER' all the time - but you can't even imagine how obnoxious that sounds to parents who have given up their freedom and still occasionally want to have a good meal without paying an extra fifty bucks for a sitter.
