This chart is not completely accurate. I grew up in the US hearing my three mechanic cousins interchanging many of these terms. Some of the ones you claim to be ‘merican I’ve never heard here like recap instead of retread and barrel instead of choke

Nope, that’s a real word. It usually means all the stuff that ends up on the floor of a machine shop. It’s not just metal shavings, it typically means metal shavings and oil, at least that’s how I’ve come to understand it or just come to use it.
Why are we just now hearing that production on the Xbox One S ended over a year ago?
Well, this is a stupid take.
Its only fitting that the 3 companies should lose out to a not a real luxury brand since they’ve spent the last 2 decades downgrading for more sales. Now with them all pushing touch screens and fake leather I’m not sure any of them deserve the crown.
The biggest issue with Takata, is it was a safety issue. A standard engine even if it had a flaw in the design, which I doubt based on the current reliable engines out there it would be a performance/reliability issue not likely a safety issue.
It’s socialism in the republican nonsense usage of the word meaning “something [the poster] doesn’t like”, not in the actual definition of socialism.
But who wouldn’t want to be trapped in a tiny tube under the Sepulveda pass for hours, wondering when the next quake would hit, trying to tamp that fear down with a pretense of smugness about not being trapped 50 feet up on the 405 like the commoners?
“Surprisingly, Musk has yet to make any statements on social media about these underground traffic issues.” .... well he is stuck in traffic...
Maybe the solution is to have bigger vehicles that can carry more people in one go through the tunnel. If it’s really high volume, maybe link the larger vehicles together in a chain so that they all travel at once all at the same speed.
Yes, the majority of big tech’s “innovations” are old ideas done worse.
I remember first day driving in Ireland to Cliffs of Moher. I seriously thought I would die that day. The roads were narrow, and opposing traffic were fast. Speed limit in Ireland means you would be insane to go that fast. Surprisingly, you get use to it. Then going from Ireland to UK was very different.
If I was not currently teaching and seeing my class numbers drop this week from 25 students per class to 10 or fewer, I would agree with you.
Sure, these can be seen from a distance, but you don't get to sniff marker fumes like doing it the old fashioned way.
As a developer that just dealt with a year rollover issue, time is hard to get right. Stuff like this is why you really want ota updates in your car. The “I don’t want my car to be a computer” fantasy is long gone and the best you can do is make the fixes easier.
I got nasty honks in Iceland when I right turned on red but then again in the week+ of driving there I only saw a hand full of traffic lights.
They’re too busy putting people in jail for going over the speed limit.
What sucks is that so many formerly wonderful buildings like these meet their demise because people decide to go in and vandalize the shit out of them. I’ve watched so many urban exploration videos where some building has been abandoned for maybe only a year or so and is already utterly trashed.
Its a real shame.…
I think we should all chip in and buy this property for David Tracy to store his Jeep collection and start a museum.
There’s a difference between knowing and caring.
