Concur 100%.  His Mad Max nickname didn’t come from driving in a dystopian universe, it came from being a little too crazy/banzai at times.

Arguably Schumi did mostly learn from his early obvious punting (Damon) and got more subtle/refined with his ability to have broad shoulders vs a hard elbow. Senna seemed to always believe God was on his side and usually did whatever he thought was right regardless of consequences both good/bad for him (and Prost).

I think something people overlook is that Max has a history of these incidents, something that may have guided the stewards’ actions today.

My interpretation of the flag code says that adding anything to the US flag desecrates it. All of the color stripes on the B/W, stars & stripes pride flags, printing text on it, even if it’s the Constitution, they are all misguided attempts at showing one’s love for our country. 

I’ve always been a huge fan of Peter Egan (of Road and Track fame) - and was pretty sad when he (rightfully) decided to retire some years ago. Now he’s not even contributing an article or two a year to that magazine. Very sad.
