As a relative of one of these types, the answer to all of these is a resounding no. Obsessing over shit like this is pretty much it

I use dehydrated mushrooms (and many other dried things - because less rot) and when I rehydrate them I add a splash in the hot water. I then use the water to add moisture to whatever I am sauteing. Did this just this weekend with Pho broth and rice noodles (etc). It’s in a mason jar - for lunch.
