Got to admit that Ertls’ thing is quite impressive. Never did like sideburns so Emerson, Jackie et al. who sported those whiskers just never looked right to me; the late ‘60s-early ‘70s were kinda crazy really....

If it were only that easy; every time someone says that, I chuckle and go look at all the open source libraries out there and how much of it actually consists of junk. If only developers actually included a real manual with and proper syntax and commenting in all their code, life would be so easy.....

1) We are going to have an excess of used batterypacks in the near future. We shouldn’t have a situation where cars are treated like cellphones because of fears about how battery packs are maintained.

Absolutely, but someone will come up with reasons to not do it. Especially someone from the American Petroleum Institute or, at least, some shill from it.

Yes, but I’d like see more racing performance (speed and range) AND tech aimed at real world situations. If Fe required a full F1-like 90 minute race, that would be a great way to push those systems. Plus, if Fe could get to 200mph, it’d make it more interesting.

I think this is a bit of a mistake. It would be better to still have a true battery swap AND a separate recharge battery limit. With an increase in the overall wattage available, it would make better racing. Plus, a single stop would introduce 2 functions :

This is pretty awesome. I bow to eXoDOS and his Sisyphean task(s). I’m not familiar with the legal aspects regarding software lifespans, especially with older stuff like this which may even have been built by shops no longer in existence with no legal “archive” to speak of. In a hundred years, how will these titles

And here I thought it was because they took off the wings.....

Cold, cold creeping dread in this case. Poor Indians really got it with their Vikram lunar lander and that was only a few seconds....

Back in the day, when LA Unified had enough money to sponsor drivers school, we learned to drive in old beater Valiants with dual pedal systems. They had A904s, no sticks, and the 198 cube slant sixes. You could chirp the tires but that was about it. I think those engines could barely put out on good cool day with

OK, but does it still drive like a wheeled turd?

Last time I was in Texas, I was in Fredericksburg. That was pretty cool except for getting to the Nimitz museum too late. Otherwise, lots of pretty interesting Germanic food there. Had some ok bbq there but never made it to Austin as I was going to Big Bend.

It’s really sad that in the USA we have the actual luxury to “debate” and “question” things like vaccines. And then pass that BS to other places where misplaced fear kills people. Witness : Samoa

Or many ovens have a self-cleaning mode that basically cooks and dries everything out to an ash. Just go in a wipe it down. But still stinks up the place even though it makes it super easy to clean.

Jim Hall says to Gordon Murray, ‘FINALLY’.....

Well, maybe the next F1 race, I’ll take you up on your offer. As for swangers, I look at that and see Texas low-rider style. In E. L.A. they’ve been doing outrageous stuff like that for years. You’ve never seen Impalas like those Impalas...it’s all an absolute expression of individual taste. It’s not necessarily for

No, it’s a CSI Nevada product which explains a lot. But, IMHO, it’s really just a reflection of Detroit and suburban/urban Americas’ infatuation with trucks. Guys on the ranch can’t use this unless they profile with it on the road and use a Chevy on the dirt.....flame suit ON!

For a collector, it’s actually a pretty good deal. But it could be better....

Wrong. The Chevy Chevette.....
