Ditto! Between the artifact, honor, and gear grind, I just wasn’t able to enjoy any alts at all. By the time October came around, most of my friends had already quit.

Yea, lets put in all of these unnecessary timesinks and claim it as a great success. People want to play alt classes, but Legion is not alt friendly at all. I’m surprised Blizzard isn’t selling artifact power on their cash shop yet.

It’s just FF14 which has done it best. New story content, huge new raids and dungeons, new end-game gear, etc. It’s very nice.

FFXIV sold me on the subscription model. Its the first sub only MMO that I’ve played because I’m actually able to pay for it myself now. Before I balked at the thought of a sub only game but now I can’t imagine having it any other way. F2P games get p2w real quick along with other problems like irregular updates.

You feel the pull because FF14 is really, really good. I love that my character actually feels like the hero of the story, not just another hero doing the same quest as thousands of other players.

Good Point, then they can be gofers lugging stuff for the real workers, digging holes, carry bag a to mixing place b, etc. Nothing that would impact the quality of the build, but shit that would make them exhausted and leave them aching from honest labor.

I remember when FFXIV went through it’s launch and then the dev team was pretty much scrapped and A Realm Reborn was announced. There was an article back then that was an interview with one of the head devs on the new team. About how he was an avid WoW player back in Vanilla and BC.

I don’t think any dev team cares about their players as much as FFXIV. It’s actually pretty amazing and exactly how it should be with the player community.
