What I outlined is not a “psychological/cultural concept of what a man/woman ‘should’ be” (that would be a gender role) but the technical academic vocabulary that allows us to deconstruct gender identity in the first place. In confusing gender and sex, you’re trading clarity for absolutely no advantage in describing

Gender is purely what organs you have: male, female, both or neither.

The idea of gender performance comes from sociology (Erving Goffman, for instance, in The Presentation of Self) and later from gender studies (Judith Butler’s concept of performativity in Gender Trouble and Bodies that Matter). It’s been often used (and misused) widely.

Paying attention to how they treat others doesn’t always work.

I only count four dimensions: vertical, horizontal, back and forth in time, and between time streams / verses. Am I miscounting?

Taking a photo of a parent who very obviously missed her child and making up a scenario where she was happy to kill children to “ma[k]e a better America” is a terrible and misleading way to make a point about how the US’s imperialistic policies kill civilians in other countries and write them off as collateral damage.

They often start earlier than that. My high school had a JROTC program.

Personally, I’d go with:

I would say the vast majority of them are joining with no real understanding of what they are signing up for, not from their own perspective, and certainly not from the military’s perspective.

To obtain this ID, it requires, birth certificate, employment, marriage license, proof of citizenship, address and previous residence.

Financial experts, at least popular ones, have an interest not in your individual financial well-being, but in selling their image and product. Their advice in general strokes is good enough to mass market, but it should be taken with a heavy grain of salt that it likely doesn’t apply to you in full, and isn’t

Jerry might be, but he wouldn’t want to talk about it around the office so as not to have to explain why he would (reluctantly) vote for Trump.

Exactly, which is why I posed losing the game as the other option.

Come on. This is easy word scrambling.

He couldn’t have played “ginger?” Or just lost the game?

Strange, I read it as “faggot.”

Do you think that Scrabble is the arbiter of English, or that anyone here believes that removing words from a competitive context implies “delet[ing] words”?

I don’t see any causality between words being banned in a Scrabble tournament format and seeing those words used more widely.

The issue is quantity. Sure, I can tell at a glance or by clicking on the entry whether the game is trash. With tens or hundreds of these games, it takes a significant amount more digging through trash to find good games than it used to. I’m talking an hour or more to find a game I want to try, as opposed to 10

Games like this are why I’ve developed a subliminal aversion to trying indie games on the Switch. It’s a shame, too - the first year or two, it was possible to buy a $5-20 indie game, try it out, and find something at least interesting. The last game I truly went in blind on (and liked it) may be Road Redemption. These
