So I guess my question for everyone else is have you had platonic friendships with people of the sex you are attracted to where you spend this much time together and where you talk about these kinds of topics and have bouts of “getting lost in each other’s eyes” without there being mutual attraction?

Well, to be fair, a very big focal point of the game and Kojima’s motive for making it is that he wants combat - and especially murder/death - to be very narratively and mechanically meaningful; it’s kinda comical that you see it as ‘yet another game with guns’.

That’s why they’d be okay for a casual game. It isn’t as if they’re deliberately weighted, so the error rate will be variable. In my experience with handmade dice, the error would be undetectable without a high number of rolls.
