Thanks for this. The relentless pessimism is tiring and can be counterproductive. There were people several months ago certain that we’d never get a vaccine and the world as we knew would be gone forever. Now there’s the likelihood that low-risk groups can get the vaccine in the spring. I’m also more confident now that

She looks like Jennifer Coolidge got hit with a steamroller.

Jesus Christ does this guy have eyelids??

That picture up there is of a THIRTY-FIVE YEAR OLD if you need any proof that evil ages you more than meth and the sun combined

Anybody thinking Big Baby Cheezus could pull off a “coup” is deluding themselves, dude is lazier than shit and intimidated by stairs

Yeah it seemed like a representation thing to me, there’s also “Indian” in NJ (a state with a high Indian population) “Dominican” in NY and “Navajo” in AZ/NM

I’m really, really thankful my parents and I are on the same page politically; I don’t think I could handle it if I thought they were getting conservative. My dad has proudly never voted for a Republican ever; my mom L O V E S Bernie; they are both in their 70s and their votes for Biden were never in doubt

I thought it was a well-worn trope ‘round liberal parts to have a Subaru with like a Gore/Lieberman sticker well into the 21st century lol

It’s the natural result of a nationalist philosophy. When you espouse xenophobia, decry multiculturalism, and condemn the arts as elitist and effeminate (and therefore undesirable), you’re going to get staid aesthetics like these, since you’ve decided to reject any of the influences that might make your “fashions”

Yeah these are all tacky, dated, ill-fitted outfits. I’ve seen Lifetime movies with better style and probably a bigger wardrobe budget. Anyway palate cleanser: check out Michelle Obama’s amazing thigh-high holographic Balenciaga boots

Hell yeah!

It read as handwaving to me “this is nice, but” as you posted two pictures of white supremacists. I am just not sure what is to be gained shifting the conversation away from women and Latinx voters towards white guys yet again. I know we’re all on edge lately, but it rubs me the wrong way, especially since the racists

Nobody’s saying they are. This article is not about them. There are several women and latinx first time voters who are sharing their stories. Why are you giving the racists attention instead?

OK this article isn’t about that kid though, it’s about the voter’s stories above. It’s annoying to have read some lovely, well-thought out responses from first time voters and then have comments like “yeah ok whatever but let’s focus on some baby racist!!!” Why center that guy in this discussion?

I think it’s probably the last election that somebody could be forgiven for plausibly thinking “both sides are the same”, since the Dems had spent the 90s doing third-way “end of history” shit and the Republicans hadn’t yet gotten quite into the habit of saying the quiet part loud. But yeah if you didn’t see that was

*pats head*

Oh man. This was my first election and it feels like yesterday. This one was the canary in the coal mine that the GOP will cheat, they will steal, and they will get away with it if Democrats keep letting elections get close enough to steal.

I guess? It just seems a little old for combat. But what do I know!

So why are you lifting it out of the greys and making the font bigger so more people can see it?
