Doing it properly isn’t in GM’s vocabulary, or else GM’s cars would have Toyota reliability...

I would have loved to have been a fly on the wall the first time some stodgy German car execs looked at that interior.

Unrelated - the loss of Splinter really really sucks.  I hope they all find good jobs.

Named for a lovely historical province in Italy, sadly no longer habitable.

I literally couldn’t care less if someone feels uncomfortable at BlizzCon. That’s actually the entire point. The truth often hurts, and when it comes to brutally cracking down on dissent, jailing and murdering thought criminals, and interning and brainwashing Muslims, there is no middle ground, and no one committing

And what about fans from Hong Kong who are uncomfortable with Blizzard’s actions? Or other nations that China similarly has interests in?

No. Taking away peoples civil liberties and free speech is ALWAYS wrong. If that makes the Chinese apologist fans uncomfortable somewhere they went to have a good time, then good, that’s the point. They should be uncomfortable, they are on the wrong side of the issue.

Somewhere in ActiBlizzard, someone is sweating bullets about this happening so close to BlizzCon

Get off your high seahorse.

Many areas of Tokyo were also bombed to bits in WWII, which presented a unique opportunity to integrate hundreds of miles of trunk railway lines in its redevelopment. Also, for all of its flaws, Japanese culture places enormous respect for communal property (I hesitate to say “public” because it’s not government-run

Until 1969, you could go to the Myrtle Avenue-Broadway station in Brooklyn, walk upstairs, and go back in time, to a borderline-decrepit wooden platform served by an ancient wooden train car...

As someone who has been to actual jail for speeding, I fully admit it’s hard to square this against reckless driving or street racing. The Cannonball Run is and was illegal. This was the entire point. I do believe there’s a huge difference between “Here is what happened” and “You should go out and do this.” But this

It’s important to note that we already invested in public transit a century ago. We just chose to dismantle much of it across our nation instead...

I just returned from Tokyo and every US city should be utterly ashamed of itself for it’s public transit. Their above ground network is unreal.

It’s perfectly fair to have mixed feelings about the Cannonball Run, to say the least. Some see it as a crucial part of American car culture, a rebellion against traffic laws. Others see it as a pointless and dangerous provocation. In truth, it’s all of those things and more, and I’m eager to see the full picture

Pardon me while I eat jumbo shrimp in deafening silence on the elevated subway. You have to admit its an awfully pretty sight sight to eat on the train. It’s kind of an open secret definitely maybe.

This is a great example of “just because something is old, don’t assume it’s bad.”
