you have, you just think it’s a tundra
One thing I never understood is why GM doesn’t capture sales of the Sierra and Silverado in the same scope. If you add up the sales of both trucks (which are basically identical aside from varying trim levels and a different grille), the GM pickup is still ahead of the Ram and a LOT closer to the sales of the F150.
You are actually worse than the people who like big lifted trucks....your the type to put others down for what they want because it doesnt align with what you want....and your making a lot of assumptions about people who have lifted trucks.
As a guy who drives a full size truck but is already a 6'7" former college football player, I get really confused by this assessment of truck buyers. Some times You just get a vehicle because you actually fit in it and have some light hauling and towing demands. Sometime, too, people just like trucks and aren’t…
The original comment was about lifts and large tires and/or wheels; claiming that most truck owners change those... I tried to limit the conversation to that.
I guarantee if you ever actually talked to any of them, though, they’d express a desire for their rigs to use less fuel.
Eh, diesel guys(even coal rollers) typically brag about how great their fuel economy is. On the forums, they typically ask how they can break 20 mpg while still running a 35 inch tire.
Haha no worries. AMG was busy working on other cars:
Yeah its all about using it for yourself. I hit my E34 off a curb and they totaled it despite it not needing much work at al, but they let me buy it back for 100. Now I’m doing all the mods I want and having fun with it because its mine forever, who cares about resale value now
As a connoisseur of salvage title cars, this thing is AWESOME!
It’s also...sadly...a salvage/rebuilt title, which means you do NOT buy one of these hoping to get a profit from it. You buy one to keep and enjoy for a super cheap price.
Sounds like OP did that, but now wants to get what they put into it back out...which…
Consumer reports test are not just based on mechanical failures, they are based on any complaint, like “I can’t work the navigation system”.
I see all kinds of brands a day, and while no one is perfect, I’d rather not support the one that A.) Has history of being terrible, and B.) Cheated on emissions.
I will be getting a 2019 Si sedan in November. I would choose this over the hatch even if the Si was available as a hatch. I like having an actual trunk, to close off items from the cabin. I am a runner and like having my dirty stinky running gear in the trunk, away from the clean fresh air in the cabin.
Not that I’m in the market for a new car, but if I were and as a Honda fanboy, I’d probably choose the Accord over their other offerings. The Civic Hatch just looks too fucking goofy and while the Sedan looks better, it’s still a sedan, so I’d rather pony up for something bigger if I have to go that route.
Not to mention Honda left a lot of performance on the table for longevity reasons. KTuner goes a LONG way in an Si - 40+ HP, 50+ ft/lbs with no other changes, and the boost comes in much quicker.
We bought a 2017 LX sedan with a manual for under $17,000 and love it. It routinely gets over 40 mpg in mixed driving. If you beat on it, it moves pretty good for a base model car. Oh yeah, I prefer a sedan over a hatch.
For what it’s worth, they lost a sale by not offering the Si Hatchback.
I’ve been toying with the idea of writing a series – stories? screenplay? other? – chronicling a week in the life of a VW Service Advisor.
oh my god I never thought this would actually happen
Funny! My friend had a Eagle summit cousin, Dodge colt, that did get infested with live snakes. At a car show camp out, he went to get firewood and he accidentally loaded a hollow log with a snake nest. The next morning he was drag racing and came tearing into the pits and jumped out if the still moving car screaming…
