They grow on you.
Ex B8 S4 owner here, I share your love for the car and it’s a shame the manual is gone, but theyve moved the S4 upmarket to make room for the S3 and RS3.
I loved my ‘12 S4 6MT. Dead reliable and fun to drive.
Agreed, plenty of performance and AWD for the snowy months. Just the right size for commuting in traffic too. Very go cart like. Though it would understeer as you reach the limit... which is tough to do on city streets.
Been there done that, and yup that’s the way to go. I got one for almost half of the new ones and it had just received new tires and brakes due to the CPO inspection requiring them be replaced. But I drove mine from 40k to 85k and it was dead reliable. Just oil changes needed. It was an awesome car.
Nah, the S4 was always the quicker 4, nothing more. Not an M3 or CTSV or AMG competitor. Although you could tune and change the blower pulley on the last gen S4s to get you similar power to the RS. But they have always been really nice 4 cars for the Audi set. Sad to see the 6 speed go away, but the S3 is…
That’s true, but looks like they’ve given the S4 all the RS goodies, minus the engine, this time around. Definitely bigger brakes and more dressed up interior.
From the looks of the specs though, you are getting all the rs4 goodies minus the bigger power plant. I had a ‘12 S4 and it was great, but it lacked the bigger brakes and nicer interior appointments that the RS had, but it was a very fun car, and manual transmission, but now that they have introduced the S3 to take…
What lack of training are you citing? Because I’m pretty sure if I need a crane operator, and I call the hall, the guy they send me would have completed numerous hours on the type of machine they are sent to operate, so I’ll have to disagree with you. The only construction union jobs that you could consider…
Yup, I was thinking the same thing. Those positions are just part of the union contracts. Hell, we have oilers here in Michigan for certain sized cranes, and a pump operator to flip a switch in the morning and again in the afternoon... it’s nothing new. And you know what, at least these guys are working, well that…
This seems relavent:
I love it, but everything is expensive for it, like double regular audi prices expensive, almost. 12L oil changes and all that too, but that’s no biggie really, $100 an oil change if you DIY. I just finished cleaning the intake valves today and that was quite a feat, but necessary. 55k miles on mine, so it’s time…
Agreed. I had a first gen CTS-V, with the LS-6, and it was pretty near perfect power for the car, 400 at the crank, if memory serves.
Came here for this, was not disappointed.
Then again, can’t you see the service history and know that the vehicle has to been maintained properly? I know the past few vehicles I’ve purhased, I could see the services listed right on the car fax report. Pretty nice to see a complete history.
Came here to say this exact thing.
At least the panel gaps are better than in the original Tesla S....
75-80k and three kids isn’t shit as far as salary goes. You’re definitely not living high on the hog at that point. Not that you’d be broke, but kids aren’t cheap either. I guess I don’t see a problem with a situation like this not costing this hypothetical family no taxes. They can use every dollar they earn to…
