So the car was wrecked in the past... at that point all bets are off for a fiddly door handle. Especially one that is so electric gizmo heavy as the model S. Who knows what modules got damaged during an impact or a wire got pinched, or who knows what else might have been damaged?

I’m leaning that way as well, but for now with limited garage space, I have to go with big high power sedan. Someday I’ll have a dedicated toy again, but not right now. But ultimately I’d want a dedicated trackable toy to back up the Uber sedan.

Preach brother!

Audi S8 too. Same mill as the S6, but much more comfortable size for kid hauling.

Nah, it’s more fun to drive a fast car fast. ;). And as another commenter replied, it’s not that you need the power, but it’s fun to have it when you want it. Is it economical, nope, is it absolutely necessary, nope, is it fun at times, most definitely.

Agreed, you don’t need the power, but damn is it fun to have it when you want it. Fellow 400+ lux sedan owner here... S8 by chance?

We got one as a donation that we addressed a few issues on and changed the cvt fluid. I was test driving it for a week or so and it’s a nice peppy little ride. I can see the appeal, especially with a stick. The cvt is a bit weird to drive, but it worked well. A stick shift would make it much more enjoyable though.

Yup. We took the cheap financing option for the 3 years they offered, why pay my money from savings, when they will give it to you for 0%?

The control arm replacement on the Dodge Front ends is no picnic either, but you’re right, moog loaded control arms are normally about $60 apiece, so not much more than the ball joints.

I was going to suggest this alternative. Zip an X in the top of the rivet, hit it with the pneumatic hammer and you’re all set, much quicker than a drill.

Yeah it was definitely outclassed by the minis, but so be it. Still a fun car for autoX.

Well since then, I’ve been able to own a first gen CTS-V, a B8 S4 6MT, and now a D3 S8, so yeah, i definitely got the better part of the deal. My wife is awesome. And she gets my sickness for cars, she may not agree, but she gets me.

One of the guys on Oppo has a RT coupe for sale in jersey area.

The white paint had bad delaminating issues. The one I had was a 97 and had a bunch of chunks of paint missing. Still had the primer coat though, so no rust.

Loved mine for the few years I had it. Still want another one. Fun and simple. Sold mine to help pay for an engagement ring. But I got the better part of the deal.

Yup, all the way up till the Mini Cooper came along.

Copart.com here I come!

Do we know how late in development any of the changes from the mustang ecoboost engine have been made? The development on these cars was thorough, I’m sure, so I would guess the issues are due to some late “improvements” that are now having unforeseen consequences. I hope ford gets their collective shit together and

I hear schools could use money. What a novel concept, maybe make schools better?

The deals are HOT!
