Modcloth?
Some helpful commenters on a recent Jez thread pointed me to eShakti.com - you might want to check it out. Sizing is available up to 36W. For a $10 fee, you can customize any dress to your specific measurements, AND make changes to neckline, sleeve, and hem length/style, AND even custom orders are fully refundable. I…
I’ve had incredible luck with torrid and, shockingly, qvc for lovely plus size clothes.
As a plus size lady, second the eShakti recommendation, but do the custom sizing and have someone help get good measurements-much more likely to work, speaking from experience. Kiyonna has some purple dresses that look like they could work for those who carry weight in the stomach/butt. How formal is the wedding?
I spent some money on a Komarov dress (Nordstrom carries them) and I loved it. The normal sizes run large and they have plus size. The material has a flattering flow, and it’s so COMFORTABLE.
My mom went through this last year when my little sister was the jr. bridesmaid and it was a close family members wedding, which she weeks looking for a nice dress that makes her look good for photos and not stick out like a sore thumb. The struggle to find any dress is real.
EShakti.com! They have customizable, made to measure clothing and roll out new styles/colors on almost a daily basis. They also have a bridal section. Use this link and it will give you $40 off $70: http://share-eshakti.com/x/WGb0zC
There are two purple dresses - not lavender, but it looks like a bright and pretty color. (tbh, why I went over there. I was curious) I’m a bit mature to be wearing keyhole tops no matter my size (and that’s just my personal comfort level. I’m a t-shirt and jeans kind of a person), but they are super cute and shown to…
Please do! I pride myself on running a company that actually gives a shit. =)
Check out Kiyonna.com. Not super cheap, but really nice, really flattering stuff. I just bought a dress for a wedding there — I ordered two (just to be safe) and they both fit, they both looked great, and I felt pretty fucking awesome at the wedding. The reviews for a significant portion of their products rave about…
Thank you! Yes - staying as affordable as possible is super important to me. It’s all ethically handmade so it will never be as cheap as a fast fashion house - no factories/sweatshops involved - so I try to keep the silhouettes classic/simple and the fabrics quality and everyday wash n wear - so that I don’t have to…
I just took a look at your website because I was curious. Definitely worth a look and shockingly reasonable for a NYC niche designer. I’m looking for a present for myself because why the heck not.
Have you looked at David's bridal? Most of their dresses come in plus size. Also check eBay because you can find their dresses on there fairly cheap if you can find the color and size you need.
So true. That model on the cover is beautiful, but it seems like all plus size models are very hourglass-shaped.

It’s only freedom and agency if we have the choice to decline if we wish.

i think it’s tiramisu cake. so like, a little chocolate but not super chocolicious. still looks scrumptious to me!
And now I really want a piece of Lady Gaga’s cake. That looks amazing.
I made niçoise salad last night so things are definitely happening.
