Totally agree with you on Small Gods. Equal Rites is technically the beginning story for the Witches, but I agree that starting with Wyrd Sisters is a much better idea. I love that book. Best parody of Macbeth ever. And such a good opening:
Highly recommend Discworld. Terry Pratchett is somewhat responsible for making me a humanist, or at the very least teaching me valuable lessons.
You have to. Discworld is one of my favourite series every. TP passing away last year was just the worst.
I totally had to Google this one, though. I’m just repeating what the internets tell me, so I really can’t take any credit.
Thanks, was hoping you’d show up!
Michigan apparently has a form of indeterminate sentencing where the legislature sets a maximum sentence and a judge sets a minimum sentence. How about he gets a disease where the only cure is a medicine that costs just a dollar more than he has - and the price increases as he gets more money, so it’s always just out of reach.
Just as long as it’s on mute.
That’s nice, but I’ll just point out again that none of this pharma bro bullshit is what actually got him in trouble. Congress, the courts, the cops, none of them gave a shit when he was bankrupting seriously ill patients. It was only when he stole money from other rich assholes that he faced any sort of consequences.
I sincerely hope that every horrible legal thing that can happen to this guy happens. Every single horrible legal thing.
Anna Merlan: No. I bet he lightly gels his chest hair.
I work from home for a reason! ;)
I got chills as soon as I read “I just want you to know why I am doing this.”, I’m glad she’s safe and nothing happened, but damn that’s scary.
