Thought I was going crazy for a second...
If you take me along to look at a car, it WILL break inside of 3 months.
You’d prefer not to have to put new tires on your trailer. We have one grain trailer that likes to lock the far rear tires when it gets under 20F. Might have to look into these.
Nah. They’ll list it for $6k and get it.
Only concern is whether the timing belt has been done, but these are non-interference engines, so if it does break, you’re only out the tow fee. I’ve seen a lot worse examples selling for a lot more around here. NP
Rear fold down seats in any small truck, like a Ranger or S10. Unless you’re 5, they’re cramped and extremely uncomfortable.
Lies. It’s not British Racing Green.
Car and Driver did a little thing on it back in the day. They didn’t sell it in the US due to CAFE ratings. It would have destroyed them. It’s also basically a Caravan grafted onto the back of a Ram truck.
Bought a 2009 Ranger Super Cab XLT, 4 cylinder, manual, 4x2 for $7500 at a dealer in October of last year. Carvana shows similar trucks going for double that at the moment, but KBB puts it’s worth at $6500ish.
Sound deadening. Not quite ‘simple,’ but if you have a tin can, taking out the seats and the carpet, then putting in some deadening can make the car much more livable.
It’s not a good car by any stretch, but it’s nearly priced cheap enough for disposability.
S-10 Xtreme. A body kit and a suspension you could get anyway. Meh.
Good candidate for an engine swap. NP
The number of newer cars you could purchase for the same money is mind-boggling. ND by at least $10k.
The steering reminds me of big 4WD tractors. They’re also hinged. It’s a bit disconcerting when you first drive one.
It’s technically a V-12, just a 180 degree V. Flat engines are normally boxer style, which the Testarossa is not.
I really, really want to like this car. You could make such a sleeper out of it. But at $13k? No.
I paid $1000 more for a 4x2 manual about 6 months ago. I’m surprised the ad is still up.
I’m sure this would bankrupt me with maintenance costs, but NP.
It appears to be NP, if pushing a bit. My only fear is that the entire engine bay is full of unobtanium or expensive parts.
