The idea that you can’t vilify someone who is both a victim and a perpetuator of patriarchal beauty standards is asinine, especially when the people are peddling dangerous fraudulent diet products. She’s not vilifying them for being women but for adding to their followers’ body image issues and begging comparison to

I really liked that Barry & Cisco nominated themselves to support Caitlin in her storyline this episode, reflecting how important she is to them & reuniting the core three from the first season (Barry & Caitlin in particular, one of the show’s best pairings, have been underserved recently)

I literally squeed when I saw Michael McKean.

Celebrities, they’re just like us!

Right, but those cities were never really in the running.

Bojack/Mr. is my #1 ship.

In his defense, a cinnamon raisin bagel isn’t really a bagel.

I am not an Eleanor-Chidi shipper but her kissing him after all his lingering looks at her on the bench next to the running water was not unaffecting

Ok.......*sigh*

Look, I get people being disappointed. I can even understand, to a certain extent, people being angry. No one was expecting, nor did anyone ask for, a Diablo mobile game. I think Blizzard is at times a little full of itself...high on their own supply, if you will. I don’t think they’re “out of touch”,

What bugs me about the Two Face arc is that it takes Joker’s premise from Killing Joke, that everyone is one bad day away from becoming a monster, and makes him right. In the comic he’s wrong and all the horrible things he does don’t change Gordon, but here it’s easy for him to push Dent over the edge. I doubt that

Longtime Hulk fan (since 1985) - it’s a fucking brilliant run thus far.

“No, mom. Ya basic.” Delivered so sincerely.

I heard that due to projects like Barry (HBO) and Forever (Amazon) it’s going to be a loonnggg time until season three...    :(    (I was just thinking the same thing earlier this morning though!)  Damn that show is funny.

USA! USA! USA!

Maybe it was just me, but I also took his character to be a criticism not just of 45 of Americanism in general. The careless business practices, the narcissism and ego, and most of all the need to solve everything with violence.

While the parallels between Noth’s character and Trump were obvious, and the only really likable thing about him was that he hated Trump, he did have a couple of moments that humanized him slightly I thought. He seemed at least mildly sorry his bodyguard and niece’s wife got killed I think. And he at least had one

How I imagine Caitlin’s reunion with her dad, Papa Snow:

I thought the tension between Yaz’s optimism and the implied existence of white (human) supremacists in the 79th century was intentional. The message is that although things will get better, the struggle is never finished. We don’t get to say, “that was awful, but it’s all over now.” There will always be small-minded

I think it’s a more general - this is where the ideas of equality and civil movements got started so let’s hobble them so the Third Great and Bountiful Human Empire will be as xenophobic as I am.

I don’t disagree, but keep in mind that Fink never let Goodman finish a damn story. His support of the “everyman” was limited to his own view of what that means.
