At this point it would be weird to see a popular culty/nerd TV series without Richard E. Grant. MCU? Star Wars? Doctor Who? Game of Thrones? Downton Abbey? How has he not found his way to Picard or Stranger Things yet?

Did we turn on Jennifer Lawrence? I’m too old to keep track of this stuff now. Apparently I am supposed to not like Demi Lovato. Am I allowed to root for Lindsey Lohan? I know Brittany is ok again, right?

Now playing

Great song by the Mountain Goats about him tho.

Def covid thing.
1) Lots of them walking alone on a green-screen soundstage.
2) Aside from that, mostly 2 people at tables distanced from the only other person in the scene, or with a green screen background.
3) Everyone in the song was about equidistant 3-6 feet, and when they were fighting it was usually just one on

  • Why were the guards fighting them in the building on Lamentis? The world was ending. Who cares?

When the world is running out sometimes all you have is the ability to keep order. They are guards, keeping their purpose. Like a bartender at the and of the world mixing free drinks, or a cook making a mean for those they

Supergirl always feels like it sticks the landing even if some of the lead up is weak. Flash seems beholden to its cliches and unwilling to break free of them at this point.

The expression on Walker’s face at that moment was perfect. He made a choice as a soldier. While the death of his friend was pushed him there soldiers are trained to kill the enemy in a combat situation. Walker took the shield back, thought for a moment, and decided “I’m a warrior, I battle, people die, no remorse.” Th

Even worse, the episode was boring. The Falcon and The Winter Soldier promised to be an action show. The action sequence with Carter was good but beyond that they did nothing that couldn’t have been done in half the time in a more narratively tight way. Drawing out a scene is different than drawing out the suspense.

Youtube.

Thwane should always be bubbling under the surface and popping up maybe once or twice a season. I’d be ok with the final big bad being him as it’s consistent with the comics.

Agreed. I’ve always thought that Flash was best when it was big, goofy, Silver Age, and wore it’s heart on it’s sleeve. It was very chunkily executed, but they had the right idea.

And it had nothing to do with characters intentionally keeping secrets form each other or having to race another very fast man!

If anyone can be recast it’s a character they have already established can change his face.

The Burns and Allen show does not get enough credit for how groundbreaking it was at times.

I was super aware of how far everyone was standing from each other, and how many one and two-shots there were. The moment when Mirror Master was standing above an empty street in a one shot talking about her army was just a reminder of where things were when this was made. The “crowds” of about 7 people running were

I’m glad they brought out some just plain weird random stuff. Quantum Ball! The SPEED FROST! Nice to get some of that stuff back.

Before Legends went full silver age goofy Flash was the show that hit that vibe while Arrow played in the dark 90's. Now with Legends doing the goofy thing Flash has been leaning more dark.

If Christina Ricci is one of the most underrated and underused actresses working today.

I’m going to be forgiving here. This feels like a penultimate episode before a two part finale because it really is a penultimate episode before a two part finale. Everyone apart, major death, things looking very bleak. Nothing really hit it’s mark because the build to it all happened over a year ago (a year which was

I... I’m sorry. I could have told you about the cycle before this all started. I feel like I failed. I keep failing. Each season knowing and not telling you. But it’s time to stop, to stop all this. Let me explain. Later. First we have to finish what they started.

Season 6. Can we just finish Season 6? Can you trust me?

I think Wells is too important to the show’s mythology to ditch. They have 2 choices, budget wise, at this point. Either slowly swap out cast members due to budget constraints (Legends of Tomorrow) OR shoot most of the show in already built sets and bland warehouses (Agents of Shield). Both can be done well.

Wells

But we’re yet to meet Ralph and we’re one episode away from the finale.
