For a while he was one of TV’s ubiquitous guest stars. If you watched TV between 1975 and 1985 he’s show up just about everywhere. Naturally Love Boat and Fantasy Island but he’s show up on Dukes of Hazzard, The A-Team, Murder She Wrote and just about any show that had guest stars.

I miss character actors like him.

Of the “older” directors the Coen Brothers have usurped his spot. My evidence is purely anecdotal, but as a teacher the film buff teens I overhear reference Big Lebowsky, Burn After Reading, Fargo, and No Country far more than most QT films. QT seems to be a “phase” but they keep going back to or discovering new Coen

Oh, the “Redneck Shower.” Spend a few minutes in the “crik” and rub the visible dirt with your hands.

I’m very glad it’s one and done. Sometimes a nice little thing should just remain a nice little thing.

Yup. I kind of think the point of this is just to have a lot of fun characters running around doing amusing “stuff.” In the end it’s kinda of like oh let’s say it’s sort of like some ... “creator” or two... is shuffling things they made around to pass the time and see where they all fall at the end and if people enjoy

Murry is a character actor, a shorthand for a type, and how well he does in a film is almost always based on how well a director uses him. Jarmush seems to use him simply as “Bill Murry” which is a mistake. It’s the least interesting way to use him. Anderson and Coppola give him characters to portray along his type,

It’s both underrated and doesn’t live up to it’s potential but, yeah, totally worth a watch.

There was really nowhere to go with the format after Aerosmith’s “I Don’t Want To Miss A Thing” from Armageddon. Sure there were still a few bands out there who thought they could do it better. Smash Mouth, for one, went for it twice on “All Star” (Mystery Men) and “I’m a Believer” (Shrek). Yet not even they could

You’ve clearly never seen City Slickers. Which you should see. It’s like a chick flick for men of a certain age.

Might I suggest Serpico? Pachino and Lumet again, NYC setting, also a fictionalized version of a true story.

They also spoil the movie, which someone might end up watching on TBS while doing housework. The movie really isn’t about the plot anyway. It’s about the fires.

Gotta be the opening scene of Dog Day Afternoon. What I especially love is that it subtly lets the cat out of the bag right away - this is a love story. It’s also a great establishing montage.

It’s almost as if some stories work best when animated.

So... just another day at Fox News then? There is nothing in that last paragraph that many Alabaman or Georgian Senators disagree with.

I’m a little tired of so many of Flash’s family members dying. It’s the “same old bag of tricks” again with a different spin. However we only lost that Nora. There will be another version of her.

I refer you to my favorite scene in any Jurassic Park movie. Everything about the Jeff Goldblum chasing and being chased by a T-Rex through a city is amazing (Speilberg said he made the movie just to be able to do this sequence) but the bit where the T-Rex goes into the family’s yard is the best part of a great set

There are many lower income revenue streams that she can tap - music licensing for one thing. Expect to hear her songs in just about every move set in the late 90's to 2016, and, because her voice is a producer’s dream tool (her range is ok but her delivery shines) she can pop in for a guest track on all sorts of

A lot of people with mental illness are highly functional and a steady work routine is good for them. If you work in a large office chances are you even interact with some. It’s just that instead of accounting she was raised to sing and dance.

Work can be healthy. She was raised to be a performer, so helping her do

She owes us nothing. The people asking her to “retire” (really not perform for a while) are doing the opposite of cashing in on her. This isn’t Colonel Tom Parker enabling and throwing a drug addled Elvis into whatever schlock can make money. It’s people saying “this isn’t good for her. She’s set for life. She has

“Our new writer/director Bree Larson will take Star Wars in a bold, new direction. Rey will run for Galactic Congress on a platform of equity for the people of Cantonica. In our version, storm troopers will be metaphor for Nazis.
