So...is this how Lost fans felt?

FIRE STILL BAD

The plotting is fine. The dialogue in individual scenes can still be just as good as Robert and Cersei discussing a fist versus five fingers. The real problem they’ve had is world building and connecting the scenes together, which is why we got the Euron Ex Machina.

There has been seven seasons leading up to it.

The shows pretty much an au at this point. No way the characters get from their book arcs to this point without “Rheagar secretly annulled his marriage” level batshittery.

I just think there should have been more episodes leading up to it.

What did Qyburn do to make Frankenstein’s Mountain? Cause it should not be that hard to kill a dead man.

Different writer for the prequel.

I agree, at this point no one should be hoping for a logical ending, this is all just a mess at this point

All those poor people who named their kids Daenerys or Khaleesi.

It’s actually a very logical ending. That has been set-up since season 1. And many, many people saw it coming. But were shouted down and ignored by those who didn’t want to see it.

They don’t call it an adaptation of A Song of Ice and Fire for nothin’.

Well anyone who wanted The Mad Queen got that at least.

For my fellow non-HBO subscribers who are just here to read spoilers:

They all got hunter’s funerals, which... y’know, they all died fighting zombies, so, fair enough.

... is a new low for those hacks.

I don’t entirely disagree with your post, but that really is something the Hound would say - he may have a soft spot for his little bird, but he is notoriously and intentionally callous and cruel in keeping everyone at arm’s length, even Sansa.

This just felt like two different episodes. The first half was so strong and compelling, and then as soon as we have to go to battle again, it went straight down the tube. Splitting the already depleted force was dumb, the whole thing with Dragonstone was so ludicrously unbelievable that it left me dumbstruck, and

YES. Jesus Christ, I was so mad. She didn’t necessarily have to get it on with Tormund, considering she’s exhibited no real interest in him (although I could see a drunk boink happening if approached in the right way) but the relationship between Brienne and Jaime has NEVER been like that - the two of them went

UH, YUP. Also thrown in the trash: the entire series’ worth of Brienne’s character development when she turned into a blubbering mess over watching Jaime go. I just feel like that entire scene was a slap in the face to both characters.
