In my experience, I have found ammonia is far more noxious than NaOH. At room temperature, scrubbing something with ammonia fills the room with a strong stinky odor whereas NaOH is 100% odorless. If I’m using a damp NaOH degreaser cloth to wipe something down, there is no smell at all.

I once also had a roommate spray a dirty pot lid with oven cleaner foam then wrap it tightly in a plastic garbage bag so it doesn’t evaporate. The next day it washed clean and looked brand new.

I was not aware that they came with two different battery types. I always assumed the rechargeable pack simply fit inside the AA battery slot. And if you want rechargeables, can’t you just use a pack of AA Eneloops/AmazonBasics in the AA slot?

Because they switched from the Toyota Echo platform and 1.5L engine to the tC's European Avensis platform and the 2.4L Camry engine, the 2nd gen xB has nothing in common with the original xB/bB other than the square-ish tall wagon profile.
