Jerry Rees directed the Brave Little Toaster, but I agree that it was definitely more Don Bluth like than the Disney fair.
I love the Brave Little Toaster… but I'm not so sure about the whole new fear of every day object thing. I agree that kids should be exposed to things that have a tinge of reality, sometimes dark… though.
Is it me, or does the author of this article seem to share some of the same contempt that these supposed producers had for the material? Even going so far as to pose an ludicrous idea and pose it as one Jim Henson might make… absolutely no respect for the late and great Jim Henson, and that is really sad.
