If you don’t understand why respecting the anthem is important to the people who are getting beers/in the bathroom during the anthem, I dunno what to tell you.

I don’t know that it’s intended as an escalation, but I think it comes across as one, in that it’s more dramatic and noticeable than kneeling. At the least, it puts us one step closer to just doing away with pregame anthems.
The Chicago Bears will skip fielding a competitive team.
Proportional to population. Why the fuck should Wyoming and Vermont have an equal voice to California and Texas in the highest legislative body in the nation?
This is great to see.
Well that might happen too this is from Rodgers instagram.
I hate to put the onus on one man, bur Tom Brady is key here. He kneels, and everything goes berserk.
Is he the only POC owner in the NFL?
Ballsy would have been not being a Trump megadonor in the first place. Locking arms now that he has ensured he doesn’t have to worry about his tax rate going up is not really much of a sacrifice.
Sadly, none of these images will matter to Trump supporters until white players start kneeling with their black teammates.
As myself and numerous other vets have pointed out, our oath is “to support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic.” It has nothing to do with flag, or the National Anthem, or public fucking sporting events. People who want to make this “about the troops” are…
“I’ll allow it for the time being.”
Fuuuuuck yes. And that hand on the shoulder is something, too. Not as good as a kneel, but it’s a start. I hope this spreads, and spreads, and spreads.
In case anyone’s gearing up to say that Maxwell doesn’t respect the troops, here’s a quote by him from 2015:
Which athlete is sponsored by New Balance?
Damn LeBron really making hard to keep up my irrational dislike of him.
how are people still dumb enough to fall for this shit? Hey guys, nothing to see here with health care and North Korea. Nope - throw a couple shots out at athletes and holy shit look what controls the news and social media cycles. Both ways, this is the dumbest shit ever.

Any NFL player with an ounce of moral fiber needs to protest in solidarity with Kaep. The very same flag that Kaep is kneeling against is draped behind this megalomaniac, senile racist as he cheerleads for billionaire owners to fire their black employees for protesting social injustices.
I would love...LOVE for that happen. An owner comes out of the box, tells a player to leave, the rest of the team flips the owner the bird and walks out with the player. The owner then demands the equipment staff take the field and it’s like that scene in the Waterboy.
