I think the issue is the same as someone being asked to do a very specific sculpture that they think sucks. If you don’t want your name attached to an artistic endeavor, you have the right to refuse.

Any artist/business can refuse service for any reason as long as it’s not a based on sex, orientation, age, race which are all federally protected classes.

I hate to be Team Tattoo Artist, but just like you can decide where you want your tattoos, he can also decide what work he’ll stand behind and what he WON’T. Clearly you have artistic differences, as evident by your contempt of his other work. So why would you use him in the first place?
